Wearing a mouthguard during sparring is essential, even for the little ones. It protects not only your teeth, but especially your jaw. When you expect a blow during sparring, you unconsciously put tension on your jaw. The mouthguard helps distribute this tension evenly across the jaw, significantly reducing the risk of damage or fracture.

This mouthguard is equipped with a special gel layer on the inside, ensuring a perfect fit around your teeth. This makes the mouthguard tighter and more comfortable, preventing it from falling out of your mouth, even if you exhale or gasp during training. The mouthguard comes with a handy storage case and clear instructions for molding. Here, we explain the basic steps so you can adjust the mouthguard quickly and easily.

How do you mold the mouthguard? The mouthguard comes as a one-size-fits-all, which means it will not fit perfectly at first. Fortunately, you can easily adjust the mouthguard to the shape of your teeth by heating it. Follow the steps below to properly mold the mouthguard:

1. Boil water in a pan or kettle. Then pour it into a heat-resistant container.
2. Place the mouthguard in the hot water and let it soften for 30 to 60 seconds so that the gel layer becomes flexible.
3. Carefully remove the mouthguard from the water and place it in your mouth.
4. Gently press the mouthguard against your teeth and bite lightly. Make sure you do not bite too hard to prevent damage to the mouthguard.
5. Are you satisfied with the fit? Then remove the mouthguard from your mouth and place it in a bowl of cold water so that the gel firms up again.
